The player was apparently "fuming" and "aggrieved" at the decision to drop him as he does not feel his actions warranted the punishment he was given, and he missed a game which he was likely to have started, against Blackburn.

After losing to Blackburn on new years eve, Sir Alex Ferguson commented on the possible transfer activity involving his club, and hinted that a few players could be set to leave on loan. He said: "I'd like to get one or two on loan, particularly the young strikers but, at the moment, we don't need to do anything and don't need to make a decision."
We know Federico Macheda, United's Italian striker, has left for QPR on loan, and considering Everton's lack of transfer funds, do not be surprised if United allow Darron Gibson to leave for regular first team football for the second half of the season with Everton.
